Procedure

Dr. Roesner will perform your lipo 360 procedure at an accredited surgical center. It will begin with your skin being cleansed before an anesthesiologist administers your anesthesia. Most patients receive general anesthesia, but local anesthesia with sedation can also be used.

Once you are comfortable, Dr. Roesner will place small incisions near the targeted areas. He will inject these regions with a tumescent fluid composed of epinephrine, lidocaine, and saline, which will minimize bleeding, numb your tissues, and swell the fat cells for easier removal. ⁽²⁾ Dr. Roesner will then insert a thin cannula into the incisions. The cannula will emit ultrasound waves to emulsify your fat deposits before they are aspirated from the body, leaving your figure more toned and slim.

Recovery

Dr. Roesner performs lipo 360 on an outpatient basis, which means that you will go home at the end of your procedure once you are adequately recovered from your anesthesia. To guide you through your recovery, he will give you a full set of post-operative instructions.

You can expect to experience some swelling, bruising, and tenderness around the treated area. These effects will dissipate on their own with time, but you can also manage them using prescribed medications and plenty of rest. After one week, you will need to return for a follow-up appointment so Dr. Roesner can remove your dressings and monitor your recovery progress. He will also have you wear a pressure garment for several weeks to minimize additional swelling.

You will be able to return to non-strenuous tasks and activities after resting for approximately 1 to 2 weeks. However, anything more arduous should be avoided until you have received full clearance to return from Dr. Roesner.
